Synopsis: A deconstruction / reconstruction of images and language, filmed on a digital camera and iPhone. The choreographed images of the nuns walking together along the ruins in Rome, ruminate the words “fugue” and “canon” beyond their musical definitions. The structure and syllable limitations of the haiku add a vital thematic layer. Counting the beats of each word reflects my classical music training, as well as my ongoing interest in controlling and choreographing text in my films and photo collages.
